Description

In the Heart of Tuscany: Transformative Somatic and Energy Psychology Tools for Nervous System Regulation
Course Description:
This training is specifically designed for licensed psychotherapists seeking to integrate somatic and energy-based practices into their therapeutic sessions, with a focus on nervous system regulation to help clients struggling with anxiety, depression, and negative thought cycles.
Through a practical, hands-on approach, this course explores the intricate relationship between the mind, body, and nervous system. Participants will learn evidence-based techniques, including Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), breathwork, and applied kinesiology, that can be seamlessly integrated into traditional therapy practices to address the root causes of emotional blocks, limiting beliefs, and recurring emotional patterns in clients.
Concrete Applications in Practice:
Therapists will engage in experiential learning with a variety of somatic and energy psychology tools. For example, EFT can be used to reduce anxiety during a cognitive-behavioral therapy session by tapping on acupressure points while discussing the client's emotional triggers. Breathwork can be incorporated into a session with clients facing panic disorders, providing an immediate grounding tool that helps regulate the nervous system. Applied kinesiology can be used as an assessment tool to uncover unconscious emotional blocks that may be hindering progress in therapy.
Empowering Clients with Self-Help Tools:
One of the unique features of this course is the emphasis on providing clients with tools they can use between therapy sessions. Therapists will learn to introduce self-regulation strategies to clients, such as simple breathwork exercises and mindfulness techniques, to maintain progress outside of therapy. These methods have been proven to help clients sustain emotional balance and improve self-awareness. This empowers clients to take an active role in their own healing process, which in turn enhances the therapeutic outcomes achieved within sessions.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this course, participants will:
  • Apply Practical Somatic and Energy-Based Tools in Sessions: Learn how to integrate somatic tools such as breathwork, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), and energy psychology protocols into traditional therapy models, focusing on reducing anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation in clients.
  • Use Techniques to Transform Limiting Beliefs and Emotional Blocks: Understand and apply somatic and energy practices, such as applied kinesiology, to assess and release unconscious blocks and limiting beliefs that perpetuate negative emotional cycles in clients.
  • Provide Clients with Self-Help Strategies: Empower clients with practical, easy-to-use self-help tools, including energy psychology techniques and mindfulness practices, that they can implement between sessions to support emotional balance and nervous system regulation.
  • Understand the Integration of Somatic Approaches with Traditional Therapy: Explore how somatic techniques, including Yoga Nidra and chakra work, can be combined with more conventional psychotherapy practices to deepen self-understanding and promote holistic healing in clients.
