An Introduction to Energy Psychology

This workshop offers an introduction to Energy Psychology in order to provide therapists with effective tools to help clients resolve negative emotional statesas well as offer their clients to reduce negative emotional states, improve coping skills with stress and offers a powerful and effective way to resolve trauma of all types. It integrates traditional psychodynamic psychotherapy with energy psychology and provides a way to help clinicians get to and resolve unconscious material. Specific new skills that will be taught include:

·        An analysis of trauma and how it limits our functioning

·        Understanding the subtle energy systems in the body

·        How to correct a dysregulated nervous system

·        Learning how to treat clients with the Emotional Freedom Technique Protocol

·        Learning the connection between developmental/incidental childhood trauma and presenting symptoms

·       

Learning Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

·        Describe how trauma affects our functioning

·        Lists the parts of the body’s subtle energy system

·        Learn an energy psychology tool to correct a dysregulated nervous system

·        Learn how to utilize the Emotional Freeedom Technique Protocol with their clients to reduce stress and negative emotional states

·        Understand how resolving childhood developmental/incidental traumas will help resolve presenting symptoms

Glenn Soberman, Phd is a licensed clinical psychologist, life coach and an ordained interfaith minister with over 30 years of clinical experience.

He has also been a certified teacher, therapist and supervisor of Trauma Resolution Energy Therapy (TRET) and Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT) and currently has a private practice in Waterbury, VT.

He is currently providing trainings in TRET level I and II. He has provided trainings in AIT to mental health professionals in North America, Central America and Europe. He has also been an adjunct faculty professor at SUNY New Paltz and Marist College.

He is a published author.  He has a recent case study published in: Treating Trauma with Energy Psychology edited by Catherine Folkers. He has also published: Letting Go: A Self Help Manual for Emotional Well-Being.
